* Rating number: A rating that indicates the degree of corrosion based on the visually determined corrosion area ratio. It is classified from 10 (no corrosion) to 0 (50% or more corrosion).

* Use the corrosion weight losses in the saltwater spray test of ADC12 (anodized material) as reference values. Corrosion weight losses in the Okinawa air exposure test were not measured.

Appearance of Test Specimens after Saltwater Spray Test (1,000 Hours)

  • DX30 (Face-cut material)

  • DX50 (Face-cut material)

  • ADC12 (Face-cut material)

  • ADC12 (Anodized material)

Appearance of Test Specimens after Okinawa Air Exposure Test (10 Years)

  • ADC12
    (Face-cut material)

  • ADC12
    (Anodized material)

As described above, our highly corrosion resistant alloys have corrosion resistance equivalent to or superior to ADC12 (anodized material), so it is possible to aim to apply them to applications that require corrosion resistance as they are.
