Al-Si die cast alloys with high thermal conductivity

Conventional high thermal conductivity alloys are costly and offer poor castability and inadequate strength as materials for automotive parts.
In response, Nikkei MC Aluminium has developed the DX 17 and DX 19 alloys, which offer improved strength and castability.

The remarkable thermal conductivity of these alloys makes it possible to build modules offering higher power density, smaller size, and lighter weight.
