Aluminum is a material friendly to the global environment.
We, as denizens of the Earth, must value and protect the Earth into the future.
Aluminum is a key material in this respect. Our goal is to protect the future of the Earth with resource- and energy-saving secondary aluminum alloy ingots.
Aluminum was discovered about 200 years ago. Only 100 years or so has passed since the industrialization of this young metal. Although its history is short, it is used daily and widely and has become essential to our life. This widespread use is driven by its properties.
Aluminum is light, strong, rust resistant, beautiful, and demonstrates excellent thermal conductivity and machinability. These features are useful in virtually any field.
For example, aluminum cooking pots and pans take advantage of the properties of rust resistance and high thermal conductivity.
With its light weight and strength, aluminum makes the Shinkansen bullet train faster.
It also improves the fuel efficiency of cars by reducing weight, thereby helping to combat global warming.
Moreover, the recycling ratio of aluminum products is as high as approximately 90%, helping use of aluminum expand ever wider. Aluminum can be reused any number of times by remelting it. In addition, the energy required for aluminum recycling is approximately 3% of the energy required for newly smelting aluminum.
Today, preservation of the global environment is a matter of great importance. Aluminum is a resource- and energy-saving eco-friendly material with high prospects and potential for wide applications in the future.
The preservation of the global environment is currently an essential and urgent issue for humanity. For this reason, the operating for our company is changing significantly, with the proliferation of green procurement requirements, restrictions on dioxins, enforcement of the Home Appliance Recycling Law and the Automobile Recycling Law, introduction of the environment tax, and discussions on strengthening the Energy Saving Act, as well as international restrictions like the Kyoto Protocol, the EU ELV Directive, and RoHS Directive.
In shifting to a recycling society in which protecting the environment is a major concern, the production and sales of aluminum alloys based on aluminum scraps play a role in the venous industry and set a model for resource and energy savings. We will continue to expand and develop the aluminum alloy business to contribute to resource preservation. At the same time, we strive to reduce the environmental loads generated by production activities and to focus on efforts to promote environmental preservation.
By recycling aluminum, Nikkei MC Aluminium will help establish a recycling society based on the production and sale of alloys that provide high customer satisfaction. We will also strive to reduce the environmental impact of our production activities. To achieve these goals, we are pursuing the following activities:
